Specialized Studies Program in Training Design and Organizational Development

Specialized Studies Program Requirements
Courses may be taken individually or as part of the Specialized Studies Program in Training Design and Organizational Development. Please note that the Organizational Development course is a prerequisite for this program. Participants are awarded a certificate in Training Design and Organizational Development upon the successful completion of the 9 required units of designated course work. Courses are typically offered in the evenings, to better serve the needs of working professionals. It is possible to complete this program in a year or less. Tuition for the entire Specialized Studies Program in Training Design and Organizational Development is $1,950 to $2,100, depending on when you enroll. The program application fee ($45), textbooks and parking are not included in the tuition fee.

Training Design and Delivery
3 quarter units academic credit, X424.24. 30 HRCI Hours
Learn the concepts and skills needed to design and deliver effective training: conduct a needs assessment; develop measurable learning objectives; design creative, learner-centered curriculum; and determine training effectiveness.
Build upon the foundation of adult learning theories with concept sequencing and presentation, interactive design strategies and training design management. Create an interactive learning environment using experiential training methods, facilitate effective group interaction and identify appropriate training activities and materials to enhance comprehension, retention and application of training material.

Communication and Team Dynamics for Professionals

Develop an
in-depth understanding of the methods and
techniques of different communication styles, group dynamics and modes
of
meeting facilitation. Improve your interpersonal communication skills
in
one-on-one and group situations. Become skilled in establishing and
maintaining
trust, resolving conflict and dealing with difficult people. Learn the

of working in teams, conditions contributing to successful team
