Layout Design for the Web


Today the Web is the ultimate tool for creative expression. Construct your web pages with key conceptual elements of design in mind, including strong visual dialogue and essential visual, relational and practical components. Using design principles, learn basic theories of layout—white space, typography, line weight, proportion, grid, interval and color theory. Create sophisticated, high quality, aesthetically pleasing visual messages with an emphasis on web design considerations, including file formats.

Adobe Photoshop

Instructor(s):

Mark Flores, M.A., has experience and knowledge in the areas of illustration, graphic design, multimedia production and animation. He has worked as an art director, creative consultant and guest speaker and is owner of 427 Design. His client list includes Intel, Blue Diamond, Perrier and Campbell's Soup. He is currently working on an online graphic novel.

When:

Enroll now through Feb. 8 and complete by March 19. Passwords issued starting Jan. 11.

Format:

You can enroll anytime between the dates noted above. You must provide your email address when enrolling to receive your password. Please set up your email account to receive email from "extensiondlc.net"; otherwise, the email containing your password may not reach your inbox. You will receive your password via email on the start date, or within two business days of enrolling if you enroll after the start date. From the day you receive your password, you will have until the completion date noted above to complete the course. Technical requirements:

A multimedia capable computer, a current email account and access to the Web using an Internet browser. More info.

$595.00.

Special Discount fee:

10% discount for organizations enrolling three or more people at the same time in the same course. All registrations must be submitted at the same time and fees paid with one check, credit card or purchase order.
