Intensive Project Management Foundations

UC Davis Extension now offers an in-house project management program for your organization. The Intensive Project Management Foundations Program helps organizations implement project management practices into their environment by providing team-oriented education. Participants gain an understanding into project management concepts and practices that support and enhance work performance for their specific situations. Courses include:

  • Project Management Sponsor-Leadership (6 hours). Geared to your organization's management leadership group. Conducted in one day or two half-day sessions. Participants examine the role of the management-leadership group in project success as well as strategic considerations in implementing project management practices.
  • Fundamentals of Project Management (20 hours). For staff responsible for applying project management practices in the workplace. Participants gain an understanding of the terminology and key areas of expertise, and explore the significance of project stakeholders and organizational influences.
  • Project Schedule Management (20 hours). Expands on the Fundamentals course. Participants acquire an understanding of network diagrams and critical paths, and how to manage project schedules better.

  • Ten (four-hour) sessions that may be applied to UC Davis Extension's Project Management Certificate Program
  • Maximum of 30 participants per class
  • Classes are conveniently held at the Sutter Square Galleria, 2901 K St., Sacramento, or at our Davis facility classrooms
