Plumbing Systems Design II: Advanced Engineering Systems
Building on the first course in the series, this course offers a more detailed review of codes, engineering principles and graphic presentations related to advanced plumbing systems design, including load calculations, piping design and sizing, and equipment selection. Fixtures, equipment and material selection are also discussed. The following plumbing systems will be covered: special sanitary waste and vents, potable cold and hot water, water treatment, pumps and pumping systems, sanitary sewers, cold and hot water, storm drains, natural gas fuel systems, and automatic sprinkler and fire standpipes systems.
Prerequisite:
Plumbing Systems Design I: Code and Engineering Fundamentals Minimum one year of employment in an architectural/engineering firm, or City/County Building Department, or equivalent experience and consent of instructor.

has more than 15 years of experience as a senior plumbing designer/estimator with Frank M. Booth Design Build, Inc., in Granite Bay. His projects range from office shells to medical office buildings, hospitals, prisons, high-rise offices and sporting facilities. His notable designs include Raley Field in West Sacramento, the Stockton Arena, a seven-story mixed residence, and medical office buildings for Sutter Health and Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento.When:
