Advanced Western Cooling Technologies

Cooling California takes more than A/C. It takes advances in cooling technologies specific for our hot-dry Western climate. Get a preview of the latest technologies by attending this one-day course. Learn the fundamentals of how these sophisticated cooling systems work. Discover the leading edge equipment. Get tips on how to apply these systems. Gain experience with installation and operation. The morning will focus on the climate in the West - its challenges; its opportunities. Probe the thermodynamic principles behind advanced evaporative cooling, radiant cooling and cool water storage. In the afternoon you'll work in teams and dive into a number of systems to analyze their performance. Real hands-on experience. You'll spend the afternoon at the Western Cooling Efficiency Center, UC Davis, where these technologies are up and running.
