To earn the title of Associate Safety Professional you must have an associate degree in safety and health or a bachelor's degree or higher in any field from an accredited institution. Charles Mitchell, M.S.. C.S.P.,

is a Certified Safety Professional with more than 35 years of experience in safety and risk management, directing programs for a variety of industries, including construction, manufacturing, utilities, insurance and services. Mitchell served as an adjunct professor with the University of Southern California’s Institute of Safety, and was appointed to the California Occupational Safety & Health Commission by Governor Wilson.
