Respiratory Protection


Discover the requirements for a respiratory protection program described by Cal/OSHA regulations. Review regulatory requirements, guidance documents and consider exposure evaluation. Learn the advantages and disadvantages of various types of respiratory protection, respirator change-out schedules and fit-testing procedures. An introduction to operating self-contained breathing apparatus concludes the day's activities. This course is primarily for managers, supervisors and those responsible for purchasing respiratory protective equipment. 

This is an elective course for the Workplace Health and Safety Certificate Program and a required course for the Intensive Certificate Program in Health and Safety.

Instructor(s):

Robert Ford, CSP, CIH, is a senior industrial hygienist for the California Department of Fish and Game and has more than 25 years of practical experience in the field.
