Innovative Approaches to Hazardous Waste Remediation

Through lectures, case histories and discussions, this course provides an in-depth review of management approaches and remediation technologies for the investigation, design and implementation of soil and groundwater cleanup activities. Topics include regulatory requirements of the investigation and remediation processes; reporting requirements; technology selection; and practical considerations for implementing field activities. You will gain a better understanding of the necessary project phases; critical aspects of site conditions that drive implementation costs; and design considerations for various treatment technologies. Guest lecturer's site will complement the typical classroom learning experience. This course is ideal for facility managers, engineers, environmental managers, scientists, geologists, regulatory agency personnel and anyone involved in selecting, designing or reviewing hazardous waste remediation activities.
