Designing and Delivering Effective Health and Safety Training
Build the skills necessary to effectively train others in
health and safety. Learn to design, develop and deliver workplace health and
safety training programs using a wide range of instructional methods. Explore
various approaches to instruction, including participatory techniques and tips
for engaging a specific audience and facilitating discussions and small group
activity methods.

You will develop and deliver a presentation using the techniques covered and are encouraged to bring work-related projects and supporting materials. A laptop computer is recommended, but not required. This is a required course for the Professional Concentration in Health and Safety Training. Two units from this course can be applied as elective credit toward the Workplace Health and Safety Certificate Program.
