Beginning and Intermediate Programming in M MUMPS

M is a programming language originally developed at Massachusetts General Hospital (where it acquired its name, MUMPS: Massachusetts Utility Multi Programming System). It is the basis for the language used to support most hospital laboratory systems today, as well as the Veteran's Administration's VISTA system, used in VA hospitals and many others. M has evolved to become one of the most powerful database and text manipulation languages currently available.
