Layout Design for the Web


Today the Web is the ultimate tool for creative expression. Construct your web pages with key conceptual elements of design in mind, including strong visual dialogue and essential visual, relational and practical components. Using design principles, learn basic theories of layout—white space, typography, line weight, proportion, grid, interval and color theory. Create sophisticated, high quality, aesthetically pleasing visual messages with an emphasis on web design considerations, including file formats.

Instructor(s):

Mark Yeager, M.A., is a professor and creative consultant in the areas of game and graphic design, illustration and multimedia production. He is a guest lecturer in media arts animation and game art design at the Art Institute of Sacramento. His client list includes Campbell’s Soup, Intel, Sony Entertainment and Nestle. Yeager has also worked as an art director and has been instrumental in co-creating a new line of innovative print and web comic books previewed at the San Diego Comic Con.

When:

Enroll now through July 22 and complete by August 18. Passwords issued starting June 24.

Format:

You can enroll anytime between the dates noted above. You must provide your email address when enrolling to receive your password. You will receive your password via email on the start date, or within two business days of enrolling if you enroll after the start date. From the day you receive your password, you will have until the completion date noted above to complete the course. If you do not receive your password in the time frame noted, please visit the Online Learning Campus Support Center at extensiondlc.net/helpdesk. Open a new ticket, and select "Password Issues" from the Help Topics.

Technical requirements:

Adobe Photoshop CS5 (or a comparable graphics editor) software installed on your computer.

Fee:

$595.00 ($695.00 if postmarked after 06/10/2013).

Special Discounts:
