Essentials of Computer Technology
Discover the concepts, fundamental issues, terminology and probable future developments associated with implementing and managing computer systems. Explore the effects of information technology on workers and society, work-group computing and decision support systems. Learn about computer architecture and capabilities, including hardware and software issues, telecommunications and networking, program design and the information systems life cycle, business application software, ergonomic issues, the Internet, multimedia, security, cost-benefit analysis of emerging technologies, and career opportunities. Some lab work is required outside of class.
