The program includes two core classes, Legal Reading and Analysis and Legal Vocabulary (taught by lawyers), and a choice of two elective courses, which may include Workplace Vocabulary, Business Writing/Grammar and Communication Skills and Public Speaking. The program provides an introduction or review of English as used by legal professionals in the United States.
- Lectures, discussions and optional informal activities enable participants to improve their command of English legal terminology.
- Through review of the basic structure of the U.S. legal system and examination of current court cases and legal briefs, participants improve writing, negotiation and oral communication skills pertaining to legal and business topics.
- Invaluable networking opportunities for participants.
