Options for Further Study
UC Davis Extension International Programs offers a wide variety of programs designed specifically for international professionals. In addition, our regular programs and courses are all open to students from abroad. If you can't find exactly what you are looking for we can create a custom program to meet your specific needs. Whatever your professional education needs are, UC Davis Extension International Programs can help.
Students reaching advanced levels of proficiency may also continue their academic studies in a number of ways. You may apply to community colleges and universities (our advisors can help you with this. You may also enroll in UC Davis Extension's Bridge Program for up to a year of academic study at UC Davis. You may even want to take Extension courses offered on the UC Davis campus with other international students or our professional certificate courses in Sacramento during the evenings or on weekends with Californians.
Academic Oversight
International participants receive support, advising and academic oversight from the International Programs office to ensure they maintain their full-time student status. Students taking professional courses must be independent and ready to be part of an external community through their own efforts. Their classmates have jobs, families and other commitments. Most classes are held at Extension's Sutter Square Galleria in downtown Sacramento during the evening, daytime or on the weekend.
