Seminar in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL)
This seminar for practicing teachers and education specialists combines optional English language instruction, U.S. cultural study, classroom seminars, laboratory observations, practical classroom training and participatory models of teacher education. Coursework includes:
- Assessment and differentiated instruction: How to reach every student
- Teaching and integrating the Four Skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking)
- Curriculum and materials development enhanced with local school visits and professional networking opportunities
Participants have daily access to our Multimedia Resource Center (MRC) and a resource library, as well as an opportunity to observe and discuss ESL classes in a wide range of student communities.
