Construction Materials and Processes
Examine the materials used to construct a variety of structures, highways, utilities and residential buildings. Learn how and why construction materials and processes must be considered when performing an accurate construction cost analysis. Discover terminology; interpretation of plans; specifications and their potential for subjective costs versus non-subjective costs.
Explore ways to validate the project estimate during construction by means attributed to methods of identifying materials delivered to the job site, techniques for handling, quality control procedures for testing and inspection of private and government work. Identify the relationship of each material to the Uniform Building Code and California Building Code and their interrelated connection to the construction project estimate.
