Napa Infant-Parent Mental Health Fellowship Program

UC Davis Extension is pleased to continue our partnership with the Napa Infant-Parent Mental Health Fellowship Program. This highly regarded 15-month fellowship is an intensive, interdisciplinary training and mentoring program for professionals who work with children ages 0 to 5. Participation is open to post-baccalaureate clinical and educational professionals including physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, special educators and other specialty practitioners. The 2019-2020 program begins in January, and convenes one weekend a month in Napa.

This remarkable program provides a rich, interdisciplinary learning experience designed to equip professionals with the latest thinking and research on models of care, and to support a deep and broad understanding of relationship-based therapies. Participants have the opportunity to hear from, and interact with, some of the most recognized experts in the field of infant mental health, and to engage in a practice-based mentoring model. The program’s graduates are among a small group of providers in the United States formally trained in this important field. The program confers 23 units of academic credit in the graduate professional series at UC Davis, and fulfills requirements in California and Michigan for certification as an Infant Mental Health Specialist.
