This group discussion course is based on selected articles from the following topics: artificial intelligence and machine learning, immunization and immunotherapy, nano-technology, new genetic techniques and artificial life, new manufacturing techniques and additive manufacturing (e.g., 3-D printing), personalized medicine, renewable energy sources for the 21st century and the human microbiome. Class leaders will select the articles to be read, provide scientific input and guide discussions. Participants do not need a background in science, but should be willing to read and think about the assigned articles prior to each class. Online article links will be provided, so an email account and internet connectivity are necessary. Limited enrollment.
