Gain an overview of the country’s and California’s approach to disaster recovery, particularly over the past 10 years, as federal funding has increased in response to the growing frequency and intensity of natural disasters. Students will obtain an understanding of the disaster recovery lifecycle, the federal agencies involved, various approaches California and other states and localities take to recovery and how those tactics are evolving.
