Project Management Boot Camp: Concepts and Application

Designed to provide an understanding of important project management concepts and tools and their real-life applications, this course focuses on how management efforts can achieve project success. Students will become familiar with approaches to managing projects and project stakeholders, and the value of “lessons learned” from prior efforts. Students will explore how various influences can impact project activities and results and focus on how these and other factors can be addressed in project planning. Project constraints, including cost, scope, schedule and quality, may be external and/or internal, and we will discuss ways to manage these constraints throughout the project.

This comprehensive “blended” course will include classroom instruction, on-line activities, interactive and team activities. Students will  learn key processes and “best practices” recognized as essential to managing successful projects.
