Sensory Garage at UC Davis

Explore Consumer-Driven Breakthrough Innovation

Examine the latest research methodologies and new technologies in sensory science and consumer research, presented by UC Davis and UC Davis Extension instructors and industry experts. Focusing on empathic design and design thinking, you will practice problem-solving methodology and debate business challenges--submitted by attendees during an online pre-program component--in case-study discussion sessions.

This intensive, two-and-a-half-day workshop begins with a welcome tour of the Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science and other relevant campus entities and individuals (i.e., expert panels, consumer labs, innovative programs), followed by a social and California fresh-cuisine dinner. There will also be a special presentation on “Using Sensory Science to Rewire an Industry” by a world-renowned expert from the Specialty Coffee Association.

Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.
