UC Davis History Project - GeoGlobal Inquiry

This is an optional credit enrollment for registered participants in the UC Davis History Project’s GeoGlobal Inquiry series. Deepen collective knowledge of geographic content, disciplinary thinking and literacy aligned to History-Social Science Curriculum Framework for California Public Schools: Kindergarten through Grade Twelve (2016). Elementary and secondary teachers will develop, implement and refine classroom strategies and model lessons in a collaborative environment with the support of History Project staff and faculty.

  • What is Geographic Perspective? Introducing Categorical Knowledge
  • Neighborhood Geography – City Heights San Diego Research Questions and Insights
  • Debrief & Wrap-Up: Applying Neighborhood Geography and Today’s Learning to Your Classroom
  • Assignment #1: Environmental Scan; Assignment #2: Read Grade-Level Chapters
