Communicating Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Concepts with Non-EHS Professionals

EHS professionals are constantly called upon to communicate with employees, leaders, and other stakeholders to inform them about safety awareness issues. These conversations can be challenging in several ways – they’re highly technical, include to risk perceptions, feel forced, as well many other influencing factors.

To accomplish our mission to keep our colleagues safe, we need to be able to communicate more effectively. We need to fully understand all of the subtleties and nuances as well as the science behind risk perceptions, our many cognitive biases, narrative/storytelling, and interpersonal communication.

With the techniques and strategies in this course, health and safety professionals will increase their skills and competencies and become more effective communicators of technical information in the workplace.

This course opens December 7-9 with live sessions December 8, 1-4 pm PST.
