Practice facilitation and mediation skills and techniques required for successful individual, group and team meetings. Learn strategies to minimize and address conflict in difficult conversations and with difficult people. Explore tools to assess and engage diverse community interests and participants in a meaningful and productive way. Fundamental Conflict Resolution Skills builds upon curriculum learned in the Introduction to Conflict Resolution class, but participation in that class is not a prerequisite to taking this course.

Section Notes

This is an online, remote learning course, which consists of content and curriculum that is taught with pre-recorded and real time lectures, in addition to a real-time Q&A session with the instructors. Pre-recorded lectures and live sessions are accessed via our Canvas learning system and Zoom. Details regarding login information and dates of live sessions will be emailed out prior to the course start date.

This course will be available on Canvas from 02/14/2022 - 03/10/2022. Live Zoom meetings will be held on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM. Participants should expect to spend roughly twenty-one (21) hours working on the class between 02/14/2022 - 03/10/202.
