Incident Investigation Techniques

Acquire the knowledge, practical skills and tools you need to conduct incident investigations. Designed with both the novice and seasoned professional in mind, topics in this interactive course include: principles of incident investigation, responsibilities in the investigation process, investigation planning and preparation, the seven steps of initial response, tools and techniques for investigation, the collection and examination of information, root cause analysis, the incident investigation report, and effective real-world corrective actions. 

This is a required course for the Workplace Health and Safety Manager Certificate Program.

Bret Gwaltney

has held progressively responsible positions within the Sacramento Municipal Utility District with 30 years of experience in radiation and industrial safety. He has been the team leader and technical advisor on many investigations involving employees, third parties, fatalities and major property losses.
