Memoirs: A Writing Workshop

We all have tales to tell, the stories of our lives growing up, the ideas and people who guided us, and the stories our family has been begging us to finally write down. In this class, you will write a three- to four- page memoir piece every week, plus you will have the opportunity to read your story to the class and receive feedback. Feedback includes grammar and punctuation, story structure and the use of literary technique to make our stories even more compelling. Several memoirs and memoir stories have been published out of this class. Be inspired by your peers who have discovered new ways to frame their life experience.
