Noise and Hearing Conservation

Protect your employees’ hearing—learn how noise is generated, ways to control industrial noise and how to measure it in the workplace. Familiarize yourself with regulatory requirements concerning hearing conservation and workplace noise, as well as the requirements for establishing a hearing conservation program. Learn to choose proper hearing protection services, how audiometry is performed and how to conduct a noise survey. This is an elective course in the Workplace Health and Safety Certificate Program.


Mark Cameron, M.S., CIH, is an industrial hygiene consultant and has more than 30 years of experience in environmental health and safety, including work at hazardous waste sites, clandestine drug labs and laboratory safety.
