Sacramento Country Crime Lab: DNA/Serology Investigation

Step behind the scenes with a group of forensic investigators trained to solve criminal cases by scouring the crime scene, collecting key evidence and finding the missing pieces to aid in investigations. Our tour of the Sacramento County DA’s Office of Laboratory Sciences will include a look at evidence handling and security, drug identification, DUI analysis, toxicology, arson, DNA, firearms, vehicle exams and crime-scene response.

Note: Bus trip to Sacramento. This excursion is based on a minimum count of 25 to avoid cancellation. Meet at UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education, 1333 Research Park Dr., Parking Lot 81, at 9 a.m. to board the bus. Participants must be able to get on the bus on their own and walk or stand for prolonged periods of discussion in the lab. Wear sturdy, comfortable walking shoes
